Animal cruelty is a serious problem in Florida, and arrests have recently been made in cases involving fish snakes, Muscovy ducks, pigeons, and wild pigs. Animal cruelty investigators are law enforcement officers who investigate cases of abuse and neglect involving pets and other animals.
40-Hour Canine and Feline Investigations Course
The Florida Keys SPCA offers a 40-hour Canine and Feline Investigations course that provides training on how to investigate animal cruelty cases. The course is open to law enforcement officers, animal control officers, and other professionals who work with animals.
