Animated GIF Viewer for Linux
Shotwell and Imagemagick
Shotwell is a default image viewer in many Linux distributions. It can be set as the default image viewer in other distributions as well. Imagemagick is another popular image viewing program for Linux. However, neither of these programs can view animated GIFs. The only program that can view animated GIFs on Linux is Firefox.
Animate Command
The animate command can be used to display animated GIFs. The window is borderless by default, but you can add a border by using the -border option. The -delay option can be used to control the speed of the animation. The -loop option can be used to specify the number of times the animation will loop. The -size option can be used to specify the size of the animation.
Gifsicle
Gifsicle is a command-line tool that can be used to create, edit, and get information about GIF images. It can be used to create animated GIFs, as well as to edit existing GIFs.
