ARLINGTON, Texas -- Jarren Duran came up big for the American League in Tuesday's All-Star Game, leading his team to a 5-3 victory over the National League. In the third inning, Shohei Ohtani got the National League on the board with a three-run homer. However, Duran responded with a two-run single in the fourth, and the AL never looked back.
In the fifth inning, Hunter Greene retired Shohei Ohtani with a strikeout, and the AL bullpen held on to the lead for the rest of the game. This marks the 10th victory for the American League in the last 11 All-Star Games.
